Is this a no contact order or a regular order? A no contact means that the other person cannot contact you by any means during the time the order is in effect, and if they do, they can go to jail--and the police have to do something about it. If it is a regular order, it is only as good as the paper it is written on.

You really don't give enough information, but:

It sounds like the police do not want to do anything if the only evidence they have is your statement. Therefore, you have to work at getting tangible evidence that supports your statement.

One way is to have an independent witness, but others are:

If the violation is his calling: set up that all calls go to voice mail. If he leaves a threatening message, copy it and bring it to the police.

If it is don't come within a certain number of feet of you or your residence always have a disposable camera with you. Take his picture with a recognized landmark behind him that is within the perimeter the order gives you. Later on, measure the distance to the landmark. Take the picture and the distance information to the police.

If it is things he says to you, check the laws of your state, and if allowed, keep a small tape recorded on you. Many cell phones have a message capacity.

Unfortunately, the police only can act if there has been a violation of the order. Please do not take it upon yourself to get evidence and put yourself in harms way. Try to get away from this person and stay as far away as you can. Make sure your relatives and friends know where you are and what is happening in your life. It is a form of protection. Hopefully this person will leave you alone.

Yep.. gotta have the evidence for the order. If he/she made threats against u or has abused you and u have proof. If they havent done anything to u then you cant get it.. You cant get one just cuz you are affraid of the person.
