I have some stuff I would like to sell on ebay and do not have the time to figure out how to do it myself. I see on ebay they have a "locate a trading assistant" area. I also see some of ebay consignment stores in my area.

Since I am new to giving my stuff to a person to sell for me, I would like to know what I should be asking before I hand over my stuff to them? What questions should I make sure they answer before I hire them to sell my stuff.

Thanks

Stop by the store and get a copy of their contract. Take that home and read it completely.

Remember, they want as much as 35%. They only want to sell something that will get $75 or more.

Here is a list of things I would ask someone doing consignment for eBay:
1) What commission AND fees do they take (could be both!)?
2) When will they pay you, and how will they pay?
3) What will they do to accurately create a description that will sell? Do they have some services that help them create winning descriptions?
4) Do they subscribe to a service, such as ReliaBid, that will help them make sure the bidder pays for the item?
5) Do they have a surety bond or insurance in case the item breaks while they have it, or in shipping?
6) What happens if they item doesn't sell? Is there any fee? At what point can you take the item back to seel elsewhere?
7) Ask their user-id on eBay and check their feedback rating.

I hope these help!

How much are they going to charge you? Some charge as much as 30%, plus ebay charges which could be another 10%. Leaving you with not much...........LOL
