maybe they should look into naming her Shut. Then they can say Shut Upchild and get away with it.

I don't think it's a good idea, but all you can do is tell her that. Unfortunately, naming a child some odd name will effect them in life, especially in school where children can be very cruel. While the mother may think it's funny, or cute, the child will not. Names like that end up being a burden, not a "cute gift" from Mom.

It's only in bad taste if she doesn't like the taste of puke. I take it she likes puke though, so to her it isn't in bad taste.

i think its not cool to chose to express yourself using your own child.. which will then have to live with your own probably very temporary feelings for its entire life.. regardless of its feelings towards it.
imo just as bad as calling a child love or some really "good" thing.. it might not dig it. its just a question of respect for individuality
