tribal mentality. Those with that mentality are not so smart. When tribal man first came upon man of another tribe, he had to disassemble his tribe and become a social animal. Therefore any intellectual being would know that there is no logic in racism.

That is my claim!

Can racism be defended with logic?

I think not.

What say you?

Damien,

You proved my point about the tribal mentality.

Knowing that there are other purple people in the world that are not like this, why continue to think that way.

Knowing that even though you have never met them, but have seen purple people in government offices, performing ground breaking medical techniques, etc..why would you continue to think that all purple people are dangerous.

There is a long history of man trying to justify racism through logic. Just take a look at justifications for slavery in the US in the 19th century. It may have been faulty logic, but it was logic just the same. One cannot say that those people justifying slavery were all not intellectual beings.

YES!! HA HA! I have been racking my brain... and the only way it can be defended is in this context:

If a purple man hits you in the head, and it is the only time you've ever seen such a man, then it is LOGICAL to think that all Purple men are dangerous.

In other words if you have never been exposed to diversity and your first, maybe second and third, experiences are jarring, then it is logical to think a certain way about certain people....

It's a survival instinct. HA! damn that was fun to think up, hahaha...

Yes, but those who are not racist out of ignorance are racist out of having an evil force within them.

For instance: Hitler was a genius. He had an impressive intellect that had he used it for other means, could have made him famous for something good. There are other people like that, they tend to also be elitists and think they are superior to everyone else.
