1. Swimming.
2. Seeing really old fat men wearing speedos. Speedos should be illegal.

1. The best thing - seeing how many interesting and different seashells you can collect, watching my dogs playing in the waves.

2. The worst thing - getting your truck stuck in the sand (if you're driving on the beach) and having the tide (high tide) come in.

Surfing is the best thing along with bikinis and surf rock music.
Tsunamis when they ocurred near the beach for the people who are living there, on vacation or just passing by are the worst thing.

the best thing would have to be laying on the beach suntanning and listening to the waves, the worst thing would be when you discover a few hours later how burnt you actually got!
