OK...hypothetically speaking, let's say there is no book written to tell you what is "right" and "wrong"...what is it about homosexuality that gets people so fired up??? Is it the whole, "it's against nature!!!" thing? Well, people's bodies weren't designed to fly, either, but we don't call Orville and Wilbur deadly sinners...so is it really just the Bible that makes people so prone to being judgemental and hateful??? And this is called the "Good" Book??? Don't get me wrong, I believe in sin...a sin is something evil which hurts another living thing...murder, cruelty, abuse...at least that's IMO.

Grrr. The Roman Empire did NOT die off because of homosexuality, lord who taught you that, Matt??? Further, NOT everyone is gay, so it doesn't matter, and the population is WAY too large as it stands now, anyway.

People hate homosexuals because they are different from themselves and they fear things that are different. If they knew any homosexuals from things other than television or were friends with any, their opinions would change.
Also, to add onto your point on the "it's against nature" argument, this could not be further from the truth. Bonobos, the animal most closely-related to man, engage in homosexual acts all of the time. Some of these animals are bisexual and some exclusively choose to mate only with animals of the same sex. Furthermore, dogs of the same sex mate with each other all the time. This is not "AGAINST NATURE." IT IS NATURE!!!

People get fired up and forget about Jesus's message when he said to save mary from getting stoned. Let ye without sin cast the first stone. Its funny how the bible is used by both sides of the homsexuality argument and it is used wrongly by both sides.
Like your statement "so its really the Bible that makes people prone to being Judgemental".. this is false although there are many christians that like to use this lesson on Homosexuality and forget the many other.. judge not lest ye be judged, let ye without sin cast the first stone, do unto others ...etc list goes on and on.
and it never says in the bible that we should be judgemental of sinners of any type wether it be homosexuality or not. God didnt weigh homosexuality as a greater sin then others. and we all sin. but we all must be repentant of of our sins.. but it is also not or job to judge others if they are being repentant or not.. that is for God alone.

homosexuality is seen as something in between. Not really this and not really that. In human context, its not really about the sin. Its all about categorization. It bothers people as much as anybody who has the capability to twist, influence or change the soceity. Ever watch X-men? "What if the mutants take over the world?">>>"What if the homosexuals take over the world?". Ok, a bit exagerrated there, but the point is it has become a totally different gender, and by nature, we are just paranoid selfish. We dont want any other more "beings" to share this planet with.

I don't hate homosexuals. Hate the sin, not the sinner. It's their behavior I find abhorrent. Having said that, I am just as much a sinner as any gay man or lesbian. We have no right to judge others for their sins. As Jesus said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." God is the only one who has the right to judge. Human beings tend to be very judgmental. We all sin in little and big ways each and every day of our lives. Our goal should be striving to live more and more like Christ.

Good question! Most of the human race fear what they don't understand or that which is different. As for the "good book"...No two of any or the same belief translates the meaning of any verse the same. They do agree to hide behind the Bible to enforce their beliefs on the rest of the tax payers of this country. Fear has been an enemy of the human race since the beginning of time. GO FORTH AND LOVE ONE AND ANOTHER..................

I don't know really. People grab on to that one line, about being an abomination, but that can literally be translated as rape as well.
Funny thing is the bible says menstrating women should remove themselves from society for a week. I guess that one doesn't get followed.

It bothers God. In the beginning God created us Male & Female and this is how God wants it to be. We are disobedient towards God when we decide how we want to live our lives, which is separated from God. But ofcourse if we were totally separated from God we wouldn't exsist. Our time on this earth is very short, God has left instructions on how we are to live.
God says, "Thall shalt not make any graven image" This means we can not create a god that suits our needs. God was not created for us, we were created for God. Those that reject God will get exactly what they want, complete separation from God. Many people don't understand that God says, that many will say Lord, Lord, but Jesus will tell them depart from me because I never knew you. How much more will people that reject God outright will pour into the lake of fire on judgement day.
Me as a christian I dont hate people that are homosexuality but the act itself is terrible sin against God. All sins can be forgiven but God makes it clear that we must repent and not repeat the sins.
Noah's flood, where only Noah and his family were saved out of an entire world of people who had only evil thoughts all the time, just like today where we see even christian involved in continual sin. On the day of judgement God will judge with Righteousness, Love will not stop God from carrying out his judgement on sin.
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. 2 Timothy 3:1-5 NIV
You adulterous people, don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? Anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. James 4:4

People think homosexuality is bad because they aren't used to it beig "normal" per se. They've grown up learning that guy+girl = good and anything else is bad. I don't really care whether someone is gay or straight it's whats on the inside that counts.

I'm gay and can't understand why homosexuality bothers so many people.
Seriously, who in their right mind would PURPOSELY choose a lifestyle that is constantly exposed to ridicule and hatred?!?!
Let them Bible thump all they want! I'M GAY AND I LIKE GUYS!! If they don't agree with that, then screw 'em. My personal life is none of their business!

Yes, it is because it is against God's design. However, the Bible never says to hate homosexuals and it says to not be judgmental. The Bible says to "Love your neighbor as yourself."

People always fear things they do not understand and then continue the ignorance by teaching it to the next generation in the hopes that the next generation will not learn to think for themselves. I don't see people fearing adultery, only getting caught at it.
