Actually there are different meaning to different leaf numbers. Not just the 4 leaf was lucky. Here is what the different leaves mean:
two leaves-if you find a two-leaved clover, you shall soon also find a lover.
Three leaves-trefoil, or the three-leaf clover, is worn as a protective amulet.
Four Leaved: The four leaf clover, if worn, helps men avoid military service. It also protects against madness, strengthens psychic powers, enables you to detect the presence of spirits, and leads the wearer to gold, money, or treasures
Five leaved- The five-leaved clover is powerful for attracting money, and should be worn for this purpose,
White clover: White clover is used to work against hexes and is worn or scattered around the premises for this.
Red Cover: This clover, added to the bath water, aids you in dealing with financial arrangements of every kind. Red clover is also used in lust potions and the infusion is sprinkled to remove negative spirits.
In general: clover keeps snakes away from your property, if grown there. When placed in left shoe and forgotten, clover keeps evil from you. Worn over right breast, it brings success in all undertakings. If you have been disappointed in love, wear clover near your heart, in a piece of blue silk to help you through.

The luck of four leaf clovers is an old belief from Ireland. The four leaf clover is only lucky if you find it. They do exist but have you ever tryed to find one there is only so much luck to go around except for bad luck.

Extremely lucky, I'd say. I think there's a world record for the person who found the most amount of leaves on a clover. I think it was 10 or 12. So you're a fair way onto that. Well done :)

The four-leaf clover is a uncommon variation of the common three-leaf clover.
According to legend, each leaf of the clover represents something. The first leaf is for hope, the second leaf is for faith, the third leaf is for love, and the fourth leaf, naturally, is for luck.

we have clover patches all over around here. since i was a child i've always looked through them to find a four leaf clover. in about 20 years, i've only found two. they truly are rare, that is why you'd be lucky to find one.

Ever been to Ireland?
They are supposed to be flooded with the little irresistibly tasty treats, but good luck finding one that has FOUR LEAVES.
Thats why they are considered lucky, cuz they are hard to find and your lucky if you find one.

It is only a superstition. The reason they are considered lucky is purely down to the fact there isn't many about.

Power of thought is something that is a major ruler in ones life.
If you think you are lucky then ...YOU ARE.
Some people just need an object to reinforce that thought.

THERE MAY BE 4 LEAF CLOVERS BUT IT DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING.
