I downloaded limewire and then got a song downloaded. I was getting a little worried because my security alert kept going off. Ever since then I've been getting music from WalMart. (reminds me, I have to get some radiohead downloaded).

The same as downloading anything off the www,its a chance and if you do use limewire just scan your archives and watch what you download a song will usually range from 2000-6000 kb depends on the genre and not 100 kb so watch that if you choose limewire

I have been using Limewire for a few months now and have had no issue. Just ensure that your security is good and up to date. Limewire does also check for viruses when you try to download.

I tried downloading a piece of software that was corrupted and limewire itself came up with an alert before it would let me have it
Obviously i said no

I've been using Limewire for a few months now and I've never gotten a virus....but Limewire does suck really really badly....I suggest Aries or Warez....

Go into your options and minimize the sharing and make sure their are not any proxy settings. All your settings will keep you safe. I never download software and I always check the file size to make sure I am downloading what I think I am.

well, you always scan everything you download... ive had limewire for a year now and ive never gotten a virus....

it depends if the song u downloaded had a virus on it. there are no chances.

i use limewire too but i don't trust in it, i don't know why... if i need to download something, i search it on internet. if you don't like it, don't use it then...
