After "Six Feet Under" ended, I didn't think my life would be the same. lol I loved that show, and was crushed when I saw its wonderful ending. (The way a beloved series should end: a glimpse into the future!) Though the ending was satisfying, I still was heartbroken.
And then along came both *"Rome" and "Deadwood." Even though I am a woman, I hold a deep affection for a great western, which I inherited from my Dad. In fact, when I travel cross-country to visit him, we always make sure to take in a good one, whether at the movies or on TV. The grittier the better. And Deadwood has "true grit."
Not content to record episodes to send to my cable-less father in Indiana, I intend to buy him the DVD sets so that though we are separated by miles, we can still enjoy a common love, and discuss it at great length by phone!
*I hope to be able to discuss "Rome" in another forum.

You should get the second season on DVD. Just glad Deadwood is back on again... :)
