the program itself isn't illegal but downloading the songs is because they're copyrighted. the chances are probably really small because i haven't heard of anyone getting caught on limewire.

To make it sound innocent, we will call it file-sharing. But the real situation is we are against copyrighting. On the other hand, the software itself is legal because you don't only download mp3s, videos or softwares but you may also share pictures and documents (No copyrights-unless it is a bestseller of some sort from a celebrity).

You may not get caught because 95% household PCs are considered passive to the Feds, unless you are an aggressive blogger, hacker, cracker or a website admin (now thats risky). Or one of the most risky and dumbest way to get caught is to download copyrighted materials in the office. Haha

Limewire itself is not illegal, but downloading copyrighted materials (songs, movies, etc.) with it is.

Limewire IS NOT illegial. Using it too download copyrighted music and videos etc. however, IS ILLEGIAL. you'll probably never be found out if you do though, so whatever.

i think it is illegal but i cant understand y tho b'c it is just sharing files -sharing is not illegal-in fact it is encouraged in pre-K and stuff. U chances of geeting caught r likr .01 in a million
