It's actually a medical condition known as synesthesia, which is a phenomenon that triggers sense when another emotion or sense is felt. I know some people that see colors when thinking about certain numbers. For example, the number 6 tends to be blue (according to them). So don't be afraid because it is sort of a "gift", and it actually can help you understand music better.

Yes, I'm a musician in my mid-forties and the music thing is constant in my life. In fact I have a tune going thru my head at this very moment, over and over again. (Switchfoot: "Dare you to move").
I'll wake up in the middle of the night with music going thru my brain. It works great for original material- if I could only get it down on my instrument. Some of my best material is stuck in my head, with no opportunity to write it. For example, if I suddenly dropped everything at work to run to the nearest piano I would be in deep do do.
As for the video- I tend to have a minimalistic mind with colors or patterns rather than full-blown videos.

Yes! I can. I can also see people's pictures and imagine their facial expressions and voice -without knowing them-very accurately.
Cool... now I can relax and realize I'm not alone... what a relief!!
I guess we're just very visual people.
Enjoy it! what a gift.

i usually turn it off for multitasking, though.
