It's a new house. Just built in May 2005.

It's a new ranch style house. The footing appears to be about 4 inches from the load bearing wall.

We had an engineer out to the house.. and he said we need to monitor and make sure it doesn't shift anymore. Keep in mind this is a new house

A Ranch is a 1 story.You should pay three hundred dollars for an engineer to inspect the house and raise the question of the centering of the footing then. To large of an investment not to have a professional involved.

Is it a two story ,three story,how far off is the wall from the main load bearing beam?
