I am from Texas, now living in Delaware. Texas, in my opinion has wonderful weather. If you can take heat. In northeast Texas, where I am from, winter is very short. The temps frequently exceed 100 degrees. The weather is very different from New Jersey. This weather in Delaware is far different than what I am used to. I miss the extended warm months and short winters.

I have lived in Texas since 1977. I live in San Antonio. The weather changes frequently... here is a joke I have heard... You know you are from Texas... if you change the Air Condtioner to the heater in the same day. =) The winters are short and the summers are long, hot and at times humid. The last time we had snow in SA was 1985. But in Mission,TX waydown south they had a freak snowstorm in 2004 the day before Christmas. GO FIGURE!

Dude,

Don't know what part of Jersey you live in or how miserable you must be to move to Texas, but I am going to try and be helpful. If you are thinking to moving to Texas you must be really depressed and don't need me raining on your parade. So here goes.
This website is very good. Just plug in most cities and it will give you seaonal averages etc.
I have a close friend here in NYC who was born and raised in Texas. Most of her family is still there. When I ask her how things are in Texas, she always begins her answer by saying, "Hot"
YeeeeHaaaa

I lived in NJ and moved to Texas over 40 years ago. I am still here. Believe me any place is better than living in NJ. Try the Dallas -Fort Worth area or try San Antonio. Forget Houston it's like living on the east coast. I live near Brownsville, Hot ,hot, hot. But it's nice in the fall and winter.

in san antonio there are alot of things to do...depending on what ur into. people really are friendly but there are some idiots. I have lived in texas my whole life. and it is fun if you make it fun. um...the cultural things here are very diversed so you dont have to worry about being different. and we do talk different from ppl upstate, but city ppl dont have horses and farms and that sort of stuff. its true about the weather, it changes every 5 mins.

It is hot, hot, hot. I have lived here my whole life so I am use to it, but 100+ degrees for 3-4 months a year. It is humid too. Also, it is very big. LOTS of driving.
