They've got pictures of people with no clothes on in some of the articles and you don't want your kids to see that so they can't use an on-line encyclopedia with lots of stuff they could learn because of that. It's like putting porn in their science text books for school. Now they can't learn science.

I am very conservative and use wikipedia a lot - hadn't really noticed a left lean, but then I mostly look up technical stuff. Of course since it is based on contributions from anyone, if you see something that is wrong, just correct it, or at least add another viewpoint.

The marvellous thing about wikipedia is that the readers can alter its contents. Many far right ideas get placed in entries. Sometimes some items change continually from left to right as a philosophical or political war breaks out on a certain topic. So, no, I don't think it's too liberal in the "liberal left" sense of the word.
Now, of course, if you think the concept of having an encyclopedia where the whole world can enter their ideas (right or left), is a too dangerously liberal, left leaning idea, then you have to pick yourself up before you can lean left because you might have fallen into a far right wing trap.

Its not about liberal or conservative, its just not a reliable source period! To edit a wikipedia article you can use almost any garbage on the net, which is often unsourced itself. Wikipedia is not allowed as a reference, or citation in the acdemic world because its content cannot be trusted.

The truely funny thing about it, people use wikipedia as "credible" source! I guess they just forget to read the part that says the dictionary can be modified by it's readers, wow there's a viable source of info, where ANY misinformed miscreant can go and change it to suit their own needs......

Wikipedia owns! It's got information on almost everything. Maybe your head is just not screwed on right and that's why you need to tilt your head!

If you think it's too liberal, why don't you start your own project where you can tilt your head to the right

What kind of subjects do you have to be obsessing over to even feel Wikipedia is liberal... Most subjects would have no direction...

Well I guess if your neck is already severely tilted to the *right*, then yeah you'd have to tilt your head back to the left.

Isn't perspective a glorious thing? ;)

It has a number of writers--some entries are to the left- some definitely to the right.

LOL I really hadn't noticed, but now that you mention it, I'll pay a little more attention. Funny the way you said that, too!
