McGonagall announces it to the teachers while a horrified Harry and Ron listen. In the chamber, Harry sees Ginny there and Tom Riddle explains how it happened. The movie then shows flashbacks of Ginny acting under a trance.

If you pay close attention you can sorta figure it out way before anything is said. Like look at Ginny in the background, she's acting different from the way she was before. Then of course they tell you when the blood is on the wall and the teachers say that its Ginny that was taken.

Harry and Ron overheard Professer McGonogal and Dumbledore talking and they said it. It's in the scene where they find the writing that says her blood will lie in the chamber forever.

because it was written on the wall in blood saying that she had been taken into the chamber of secrets to die.
