...the death penalty, death with dignity or abortion rights?

I’m not saying that I’m a believer in any of these things but I’m just curious as to whether anyone else can see or appreciate the irony of these concepts in relation to each other. I’d be truly curious to hear what your reasoning is, if indeed you do believe in life after death (or reincarnation) and yet don’t believe in either the death penalty or abortion rights. I understand the appreciation for the value of life, but if there is something after this than why (in the case of death with dignity) forestall that which will inevitably happen, supplicate leniency on those condemned to die or cause the needless suffering of one more life for a family that cannot support one more child or worse.

I’m not trying to challenge your beliefs, merely playing devils advocate. For I believe in life first above all else, I just wish to know where you stand and how you came to that decision. I will also respect all views as well.

Believing in life after death is a tricky thing. You can believe that after you die you live your eternal life in heaven or hell, as Christians do. Or you can believe that you are reborn as another human being in a circle of never ending life, reincarnation. For me it's hard to say either way. I like to think I'm a christian and I would love to live eternally in heaven with Jesus and my loved ones, but some science tells us otherwise. I believe that abortion, at a certain point, is wrong, but should be taken into consideration in the event of a rape, or other such things. Even still, that baby is a life, and should be respected as such. Anyone choosing abortion should very seriously beg forgiveness. I think that the death penalty is an easy way out for evil people. Throw them in jail for the rest of their lives and let them be beat and raped by their fellow inmates, if in fact they truly are guilty.

There is something after this. Your life is energy. It can be changed but not destroyed (law of thermodynamics).
Death penalty, useless. Personaly kill me or someone close and i would rather see you buried alive in the prison system, where one just might achieve some sort of redeption on a personal level. Important only spiritually not in this world.
Same for abortion, give the child up for adoption. The child could be important to us all in someway.

i believe there is a physical world and a spiritual world. Every person has a spirit or a soul in their physical body, as you can see from the inexplainable brain impulses and memories.

After the body becomes incapable of supporting basic life functions or when a soul is told to leave the body in the physical world to enter the spiritual world, that person dies. Keep in mind that although the body cease to exist, this person's soul still exist because it can never be destroyed.

Now there are three destinies for the souls: heaven, hell or reincarnation. The destiny of a person's soul depends on the behavior of that person when he was alive. On the day of the judgement, If the person's soul committed no sin in his lifetime, then he goes to heaven. If he committed a lot of sins in his lifetime, then he goes to hell. If he committed some sins but not enough to get him into hell, then this spirit is given a second chance to redeem himself in another physical body through reincarnation.

There is another destiny of the soul but rarely it happens. You know alot of haunted house inhabited by ghost? Well the ghost is nothing more than wondering souls. After they died, they refused to go to the afterlife place to receive their judgement so they remained in the physical world as this intangible, illusional image usually seeking for revenge for something from when they were alive.

My mom once had this near death experience and she explained everything to me as she saw. She went to this meadow and there were buses picking up the spirits of people who just died, propbably taking them to the place of judgement. Just when she was about to board a bus, she was stopped by a lady who told her that she was not suppose die just yet and she woke up alive in the hospital emergency room.

I have to say, i'm glad you brought this up because i try to figure out this stuff for a long time and i finally come up with this hypothesis from my knowledge of all the religion in the world and a little first hand experience. But you really want to figure out this stuff, you would need alot more than this internet.

I'm not saying I believe in a life after death that resembles our present life (in other words, I'm not sure any of our current personality or experiences survive the transition), but we are animated by energy and energy, while it can change form, cannot be destroyed. Consequently, I'm in favor of all that you mentioned. My one and only objection to the death penalty is whether or not it is being applied fairly and objectively. But if we could be absolutely certain of someone's guilt in a capital case, I'm in favor of capital punishment.

i believe in death, because i have seen the death of my dear ones. but life after death, that i must experience myself. as those who r dead have not told me anything about it. so, after my death I'll tell u whether there is life after death, (u should not feel scared of me. because i don't know how i look then )regarding abortion rights... i still cannot understand why should anybody go thro that torture when there r so many ways to avoid pregnancy. abortion is bad for ones health & mind.

i do believe in reincarnation. i believe that we are on this earth to learn everything we can and when you have experienced everything you are suppose to experience and when you have learned everything you need to learn you become one with the goddess. i believe in the death penalty in certain circumstances. situations like someone who bombs a school and kill several people i believe deserve to have their life tooken away from them.i also believe in abortion in certain circumstances. i don't believe an abortion should be granted just to help out a teenager who decided to have sex when they were'nt ready for the responsibility.but i do believe it should be to someone who is raped and does'nt need a reminder of that attack every day of their life.

death penalty: should only be given to murders and rapers.
Death with dignity: i think in all shakespeares books, the hero always died with dignity. but it prove nothing does it?
Abortion rights: come on, if you are thinking about abortion, why give in to lust in the first place?

I haven't died yet, when I do I'll let you know.

I believe families of victims should determine the punishment, if it's death so be it.

You crap your pants when you die so the act of death itself isn't so dignified, however the events leading up to it can be. You can be dignified in how handle your last days.

I'm a man, when I can create life in my belly I'll let you know as well.
