It is not safe at all. It is a carbaryl, that is in a similar family to Organophosphates They aren't safe either.
The mode of action for these two pesticides is to interfere with the synaptic nerves in an insects brain.
It looses voluntary muscle control and doesn't know when to move, blink, breath, think.
Both of the above classes of pesticide have the same effect on humans who are sensitive to then, or just plain over exposed.
Sweating,drooling,vomiting,diarea,disorientation, and anaflactic shock,then death!
I was exposed and treated 9 times for anaflectic shock to an UNKNOWN allergy, before we realized what the culprit was.
The reason people are fooled into thinking it is safe is because it breaks down quickly in sunlight. Massachusetts licensed pesticide applicator greenhouse/Mass. Nursery Private license.

Seven is a pesticide...therefore not really safe, read the warning and information in the package. I did and I don't use any pesticide if it's not really that necessary.

Sevin is a broad-spectrum pesticide and it's very safe to human and animals. It hasn't shown to cause cancer but it is very deadly on bees. Should you use it, be sure not to spray the blossoms of flowers where bees will visit.

It is quite safe to use. Try not to inhale to much of it, and if you get some on your skin, I would recommend to wash off as soon as possible. The precautions should be written on the safety info that came with the bottle

Sevin is pretty safe.
You can actually rub it into a dogs coat to kill fleas.
If you have put it on your garden you should of course wash your produce before eating it.
