I too have high uric acid and gout as a result. I tired to control it with home remedies but couldn't. I've since found out that one very good thing you can do is to cut your carbohydrate intake to fewer than eighty grams daily. Various things that can be used to control the uric acid level in your system are penny royal, shiitake mushrooms, celery seed, devils claw, turmeric, yucca, boswellia, omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, lipoic acid, vitamin E, selenium, folic acid, bromalian (found in pineapple), cherries in any form and any type, including cherry juice, and grape seed oil.

Make teas with the pennyroyal or the shiitake mushrooms. Add the celery seed to your food as you might the turmeric. Eat pineapple as fresh as you can get it, canned if not.

Good luck and good health.

Celery Seed Extract & Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate are two of the best remedies out there for high uric acid. Minimize alcohol consumption, and meat.

Drink a lot of water. The uric acid will be reduced as you pass, well, urine.

Start eating cherries on a daily basis. I don't exactly know why this works but it cured me.

Surely your doctor is the only person who can advise you on this?
