Here's a funny story that I've been wanting to tell about my friend and you sound as if you could use a laugh. My friend Roger had a bad break up with his GF. She left him & moved into a house by herself. Roger got drunk one night and woke up in a rage. He took all of her remaining things in his house and proceeded to throw them in trash bags, which broke her things. He drove to what he thought was her house, parked on the front lawn and began throwing her things out into the yard. At this point he notices her accross the street saying," What are you doing?", that's when he realized he was at the wrong house. Of course all he could do at this point was to pack up the bags of broken things and drive them accross the street where they belonged. He parked on the front lawn and repeated the process. Oh, sweet revenge! What is funny about this story? Even your own failure is funny when you have a sense of humor about the absurdity of life. Roger laughed when he told it to me. I'm still laughing!

I agree... some of those answer were a bit too serious. Hell, even if I did help the gas truck that ran out of gas, (which I would). The irony and hilariousness is still there... there is no need to be so defensive about it!? I would say, everyone is just settling in from work and this might not have hit them as a joke. Or perhaps they knew it was a joke and wanted to release some anger on you *whispering* since they obviously cannot yell at their boss - the one there really angry at. LOL ^_^
