Women like to be first in their husband or boyfriend's mind. Sharing a few things about past relationships could actually be healthy because it encourages openness on both parties. However, bringing the topic up often sends a negative idea. There should be a limit to how much a man talks about his ex-girlfriend. Besides, a man should focus on what he has at present. He should spend time appreciating the qualities his present partner has that attracted him to her. Giving plenty of compliments to his partner will earn him more rewards than talking about his ex.

Because there is not a woman alive that wants to hear about their man being with another woman. Even if it was before them. Most will even picture their man with that woman. If the man talks excessively about a former lover, it creates jealousy, insecurity and also makes the woman feel that maybe she does not measure up! If she is an ex, why is there a need to talk about her?

If a man talks about his ex obsessively, then it stands to reason that he thinks of her often and probably while having sex with you and is not "over" her. Most folks tend to think about other people and just don't say it... if a fella is talking about it... then he must be thinking about it ALL the time.

we dont want to hear about the ex cuz its like ur still attached or thinking about them, that is a threat 2 most. but as long as ur not cheating, talk about the memories...

I think its a comparison issue. If you speak of your ex's it states even subconsciously that your current girlfriend is somehow inferior. If she was everything you needed, you wouldnt need to speak of the ex.

women don't like being compared to others, for the good or the bad. They just want you to focus on the present and not feel like they have to meet up to anyone's (especially your) standards.

trust me i know cuz my boyfriend talks about his ex so i say stop talking about her! me it's because i feel like he thinks about her more than me but then apoligizes and gives me a kiss!so cuz sometimes thier jelouse
