I am a Republican and I oppose abortion because it is murder. First of all you say "after all they want to command what a woman can or can't do with HER body..." It isn't "HER body" considering what's being aborted is a CHILD- another human being. If she didn't want a child, she could easily give it to a woman who does want one, but cannnot have one herself. Secondly, you must be some sort of Junior College dropout or something, because what kind of question is this... "Wouldn't this Christian issue be resolved by telling people to either be gay or stop having sex?"
Incase you didn't already know... Christians oppose homosexuality. Christians don't oppose condoms. Maybe that's the message you didn't get.
And FYI, I don't see any loss of freedom under the Bush ADMINISTRATION (not "regime")... WHAT PART OF "THE TERRORISTS WANT TO KILL US" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? If we want to preserve freedom, we have to defend it in such ways that terrorists don't expect. No one really gives a damn about your conversations with your girlfriend, and what you do online has been monitored for years now. Bush didn't break the law through the wire taps either; ever read the Constitution? In a time of war, the president can take measures such as this. Linclon did it. And I'm positive if some idiot like Clinton did, nothing would be said of it... just like when Clinton didn't use any sort of military action agianst Al Queada in the 1993 World Trade Center attacks, or the 2000 bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. No one said anything bad about him... and they tried to blame Bush for 9/11? Perhaps Clinton's lack of leadership in a time of national crisis is the reason? Hmmm.
Anyway,
I recommend simply using a condom if you don't desire a child. I guess some people just think it's easier to kill the innocent.

Abortion a very touchy issue, I don't think abortion should be used as birth control, Also I don't want it to be against the law and here is why . a law against it won't stop it, women will seek it out in a less than sanitary conditions by some one who isn't learned in medicine or they will do it themselves, poisonous douches and such. I believe sex education as early as 12 or 13 for kids . So they know about contraception, std and pregnancy from more than just the street smart. I wish for a world where every pregnancy is a wanted one . Don't throw away a life ,use adoption.

Congrats on having a total inability to understand an argument. The reason why conservatives are against abortion is because of the belief that a fetus is a human being. An argument that "it is the woman's body," etc. is circular, as it assumes the non-life status of the fetus.
And there are plenty of ways to have sex and not have a baby. Ever heard of a condom?

I oppose abortion because it is killing an innocent soul. Do I push my opinions on everyone around me? No. I have my views and I would NEVER kill an innocent soul just because their birth would be an inconvenience to me. So stop pushing your opinion on me, thank you very much.
And btw exactly what freedoms have you been missing? Did you just walk down the street and get stopped from having that abortion? No. Did you just get your bank account froze? Well, not if you aren't collaborating with Terrorist groups. Was your telephone bugged? Probably not, unless you were talking to someone involved in terrorist activities. You can spew your crap all over the Internet, did anyone close you down and take your freedom to do that? Obviously NOT.

I am not a Republican but I believe life begins at conception. Therefore, a fetus is an unborn child. I am not anti-choice, a woman has a right to have a child or not but that decision needs to be made before sex. It is her body, but when pregnant, there is another person involved. Ironic, a fetus is female for the first several weeks of gestation.

Sex can be beautiful. And it can be covered completely with the stench of sin. But... babys, unless covered with the stench of their own ****, are always beautiful. Dont kill babys. Give em a chance to live. Dont stop having sex. Just BE MORE MATURE ABOUT SEX. You're doing it and risking becoming or makin someone else pregnant. You wanna take a risk? Deal with the fuking consequences. Not that babys r BAD consequences. but come on... Be a man. Or woman. and take care of ur ****. u man enough to stick it in, u should b man enough to stick it out.

I am a big republican and yes I have sex. But you know what I take birth control. And when I got pregnant at 19 I kept my son.
So know you don't have to stop having sex. You just have to own up to the responsibilities that sex can lead too. If you are going to have sex than you should have to own up to that responsibility too. Not go to a clinic and "take care of it". It is a baby, nothing less than that.
But see too many women use that they were drunk or just not ready. Well if you're not ready than don't spread your legs.

Its not about abstaining from sex, its about SAFE and RESPONSIBLE sex.
You don't go around f**king like rabbits and then subject the poor woman to an abortion. Abortion is not like eating sweets. Women can lose their womb, become infertile or even die due to abortion.
Don't veer off to the extreme. We are just asking people to PREVENT unwanted pregnancies, not wait for them to happen and injure two innocent lives

I call on fellow Christians to halt the murder of millions of babies through neglect. From the moment of conception, a fertilized ovum becomes a tiny human life. Yet untold numbers of these precious lives are heedless snuffed out when that fertilized ovum fails to implant in the uterine wall.
If only women of childbearing age would rest in bed for several days after sex, these precious lives might be saved. Join me in urging your lawmakers to expand welfare benefits to all women of childbearing age so that they can keep and care for their zygotes, and not lose them through the necessity of being active. SAVE THE ZYGOTES!

People who are against abortion are the same people calling out against the freedoms our government has taken from us (tapped phone calls, bank acounts, etc), yet they are calling for another freedom to be taken away from Americans--the freedom of choice.
