I beleive that we are a combination of both. For instance, genetics plays an important role- You won't get a Rhodes scholar out of a shallow gene pool. But I also think that you can overcome short comings; such as someone who works hard and improves their social staus, because they choose to embrace somehting else. We can learn from our experiences, and decide to make a change.

I live my life being human, but I apply science to complex problems or if I need to verify important information.

My view is, life should be emotional, and you should be able to put emotions aside when it time to think and analyze. It's also important to know when to stop thinking and start living again.
