and WHY do you think that?

I absolutely LOVE Canada!

I grew up in Western New York, about 20 minutes' drive from the Peace Bridge. I've spent a great deal of time in beautiful Southern Ontario and have many friends and some extended family there. I love Canada as a nation. Her people are warm and friendly, irrespective of how cold it may be outdoors, and the landscape is gorgeous.

I love ice hockey, Canada's own invention, and have been an avid fan of my beloved Buffalo Sabres since I was a child. I really benefited from my close proximity to the Canadian border in so many ways, growing up and in my young adulthood. The best radio stations were always the Canadian ones (thank you, CFNY!). The best television stations were always the Canadian ones (thank you, CBC, especially for all the British imports!). And the best-looking and most intelligent women I met during my years in Buffalo were all from Southern Ontario (thank you all!). ;-)

Canada is America without all the guns, violence, hostility, ego/insecurity issues and embarrassing flag-waving patriotism. Canada is that old friend you sometimes take for granted but are always so happy to see when paying a visit. Canada is the closest thing we have in North America to Britain (most notably Ontario and British Columbia) and France (Quebec); in other words, it's a little slice of Europe in our own backyard.

What do I think of Canada? I think I'd be lost without it...

Thanks for the question. And thank you, Canada, for being the best friend we've got!

I don't know as much about Canada as I wish I did. All I hear is what other people say, and some of it is wrong probably. Of course I figure that it's cold. I hear the language can be quite different. It sounds like a neat place to live. I've heard good things about the medical plan there. It sounds like it's got friendly people in it, and I can't believe anyone would want to behead anyone there.... Just proves there are some real fruitcakes in this world.

I've always loved my times in Canada.

The people are friendly, and somehow not as edgy. Nature is beautiful in British Columbia where I have been.

My brother lived there for thirty years, and I have visited many times, though I live a thousand miles from the border. I'll be there again on Saturday!

I love Canada, it's only 20 minutes to the Peace bridge from where I live. I honeymooned there in Toronto and had so much fun.

Canada must be a wonderful country. I have never visited but have had the chance to talk to many of her citizens. We call'em 'snowbirds' where I live. Wonderful people.

They must think all Americans are crazy.

I think the people are nice and the country is beautiful. I've never visited but I've known a few Canadians and I've seen pictures. I would love to visit sometime.

I think it is lovely, I always hear the best about (aboot, hehe) it.
Also it is a miracle that a country that borders with the US is so rational and has such a nice culture and hasnt been affected by its fat, flag worshiper, war maniac neighbours.

a quiet country that keeps to it self, will help us in a problem if compelled to enough. they are not very popular with people not known for anything except hockey, some cool towns like toronto and quebec. other than that, just our neighbors to the north.

Love 'em! They are naive & driven by their guilt about their own affluence..(yet contemptuous of American wealth..) but they cling to envy for a "60's style Kum-Bi-Yah life style. (Was born/raised there...21 yrs)
