Scientific approach is quanitative, measurable, and able to be repeated, ie : genetics.
Humanistic approach takes into account the human feelings, emotions, sociological aspects. ie: you are who you are now, depending on your past experiences or where you were when something happened.

Science is based on facts, cold and hard with the basis that humans are simply the highest animal on the chain. Humanistic approaches consider feelings, religions, and more give and take in a situation , they give creedence to the creator approach to human life rather than Science and its Natural Selection approach.
