Just asking the question that you did is an indication that you are sane. Happiness seems cyclical, though. It is best to enjoy it while you can, and not to grasp at it once you sense it slipping away. It will be back.
You do not suck at everything. You can obviously type, and you can also write. I wish that you would start writing stories about your experiences, or keeping a diary. Sometimes that is helpful.
Everyone fails at most things. Failure can be illuminating if you can bring yourself to look at the failure in a dispassionate way, and analyze it. You have an advantage that many others do not; you are aware that you do not know everything. You can proceed from there, without having to pretend to be someone you are not.

I think that's a tough question. I think sanity comes from intelligence and wisdom, while happiness is virtually impossible to exist when more and more about the world becomes clear to you. Ignorance is bliss. That's why so many people have no idea the world is actually in real danger and that perhaps their kids and grandkids won't have a habitable world to live in - or a country in which their privacy and freedoms are denied.
People claim religions give them happiness. And, it may. But, again read what I wrote. Ignorance is bliss. If you want to be blissful, religion is probably a good way to go because you simply put your faith in something, regardless of how inane and you never question it. You feel wanted and loved and part of this big picture.
I would suggest you find like-minded people while reading books, studying philosophy, and exploring the arts. Emotional experiences are great. It will give you clarity. And, clarity gives you compassion. It's much better than blind faith and bliss - even if more complicated and frustrating sometimes.
And, lastly, study self-improvement and self-awareness. It allows you to empower yourself instead of riding the wave of your emotions. It takes work, as anything else. I would also suggest smiling big and bright even when you're miserable. The physical state of the human body affects your chemical levels. If you jump up and down, smiling, and breathing heavy when you're upset, you won't stay upset for long.
And, love. Remember to love. More than in romantic ways. What you give will return to you.

Are you saying that you only experience one emotion or two at the same time or this all you want for the rest of your life?
Do you think you can get your personality well-rounded by just being happy and sane the rest of your life? It's like saying you can get by living in the world with just your head...or socializing only through the internet.
If you don't need all the other emotions, Well...I suppose I can sh** on you and you won't get mad or get sad. You would still be in a state of happiness and accept it as morally upright. Nothing wrong with that.
If you're asking if it's possible to be happy and sane at the same time, I think most people can do this. It's also possible to be happy and insane at the same time, too. Of course, you have to be in some kind of self-denial.
Maybe you could ask yourself if your expectations are way too high to reach, come on, we're all failures most of the time. We all fall down alot. But aint it great getting up and trying again? Gets me goin, and gives my abs the sixpac. Then, every now and then you get the hang of it, and one day you discover you dont fall down as often. Kinda makes you sad coz you discover ur not that flunky person you used to know.

Well it would mean the following:
1.) The person is sane -according to whatever definition you think actually describes this state. We all differ in our interpretations of what this actually means around the world.
2.) And the person is happy. But if you mean always happy then grow up because nobody is always happy. It is not possible. It is not the only thing that matters. Hapiness is not the be all and end all of what we are doing here.
SO: sane person + same person who is happy = Sane happy person!
Wow!

First, it sounds like you need to surround yourself with some new people. Sometimes we fill our lives with others who perpetuate our myths about ourselves so we don't have to challenge ourselves to grow. Or because it's comfortable and change is too difficult. I've spent years flailing, but then again, I think we all flail our way through life. We're never "arrived" at a sane and happy place and live happily ever after. Days come and go, emotions change, situations and people go in and out of our lives and we are happy or sad or insane or miserable or ecstatic or any number of other adjectives. Sometimes all at once! If you've ever had a child, you know what I mean.
It sounds like you are really suffering, though, and I empathize with that. You're reaching for a goal that is unattainable - an arrival at a constant state of mind. Sanity and happiness are really subjective experiences. You have to decide for yourself what makes your daily existence worth it for YOU. Is it to surround yourself with people who don't value you or listen to your ideas? Maybe it's doing something "insane" like moving to a new city and embracing a new culture or new types of people who challenge you. Who knows? It's so personal. For me, sanity just means being capable of dealing with what life throws at me from day to day, and there are days when I can't even do that - so am I insane? I may never know. I think it means we're all just human.

It is not out of the question. You sure you suck at EVERYTHING ? It's hard to believe you have tried everything in life. Einstein was thrown out of high school three times before he graduated, then went to college. Abraham Lincoln ran for president three times, three times he was defeated, but they never gave up. Stay within your range of expertise and knowledge. Analize your mistakes and focus on how to fix them. If you know you are not a rocket scientist, don't try to build a rocket. We all have limitations in our lives. There is no one human that knows how to do "everything". If you go with your logic, then you are saying that God sucks too. Look at the wicked people living before the great flood, he made the mistake of letting them live to long, so he corrected. It sounds like you are making excuses to justify not trying anymore. If you are, then you succeeded at failing. The reason you succeeded is because you planned it that way. If you plan to succeed, then you will win. Plan , study , research , analize , practice, take your time." If you do it right, you do it once, if you do it wrong, you do it twice."

1st of all you asked a hell of a question and that makes you not sucky. Look at all the responses you've gotten. Some of them weird yeah but, you asked a sane question.
Being SANE helps you to make the right decisions and that makes you HAPPY when you don't have to worry about suffering the consequenses from making the wrong decision. So yes you can be sane and happy at the same time.

I cannot necessarily answer your question, since both happiness and sanity are indiscrete terms. It seems that both are dependant on the person. However, from reading your blog, it seems as if you need a taste of success. If you experience some success, you may find that it suits you nicely. Success at accomplishment and happiness with the outcome tend to be tied together. Good luck, and keep your chin up.

Though condemned as unscientific, most states follow the rule that you are sane if can tell right from wrong. Remember that sane and insane are legal, not medical, terms. As to happiness, that is a matter of worldview, you can weep that you have no shoes, or rejoice that you have both feet. This world is here for you to live in, there is no other world available for you to live in, so LIVE IN IT already.

Happiness is a state of mind and so is sanity. You can be happy and sane, but it is not easy to remain like that all the time.Just keep working at it and if you do not crack up you will eventually get reasonably good at it.Nobody can do it all the time.
