yes, my cousin has them and without them she's legally blind.

Only an eye doctor can tell if you are a good candidate for contact lenses. I know of many people that are very nearsighted and wear contacts well. It depends more on the shape of your eyeball and the condition of your cornea if you can wear contacts safely.

I don't know the exact answer to that question. I do know from experience, though, that my eyes are pretty bad... I'm darn near blind in my left eye. I tried contacts and they gave me a lot of problems. It may have been the brand... or it may have been my eyes. Never know.

It depends on what's wrong with your eyes. And some people simply can't wear contacts because their eyes are too sensitive. Talk with an optometrist, and good luck!

It used to be that if you needed bifocals you were screwed, but now they have bifocal contact lenses. So, I would definitely ask your eye guy when you get an exam. And you should. It's amazing when you finally get corrected vision and you realize how much you weren't able to see before.

i work for an optometrist and lots of people with strong prescriptions get contacts if you have lots of astigmatism you will need toric lenses which works well for these patients and they are also soft lenses. Go to an optometrist you'll be surprised you may even be able to get colored contacts too

yes contact strenght goes up to -/+ 10
and considering a -6 is enough to be legally blind .. pretty much anyone can wear contacts
my perscription is -4.75 and I've been wearing them for 7 years now

if you have to have really strong lenses or you have an eye condition of some kind you can't wear contact lenses/ like glaucoma
