So far I have not been impressed by the progress made by our presidents. I know this idea may seem why out there and who knows if she would even be interested. But sometimes good ideas come from seeing the world through the idealistic eyes of a child and my inner child is OUT. Maybe the people who write the show Commander in Chief could be some of her advisers.

Having a good idea, and having something that is practical enough to actually work are separate things, but it WAS a fictional show. An actor as President? It's been done before, with good results. R.Reagan oversaw the downfall of the Berlin Wall, and the U.S.S.R. breakup. However, I think Geena Davis is probably satisfied with her political support for real politicians.

It was!!!! a TV show. She can't even keep an audience. She is a woman and she is a Liberal. Those are more than enough reasons why she couldn't be President. George Washington commanded an army not a bunch of Welfare recipients and Abortion activists. Could we dumb down our Commander status any more?. George Bush knows how to lead an army. She couldn't. The Oval office isn't a place for Feminazi women to get there ego pumped up, it's a place that keeps my kids and I safe from Jihadists.

Too bad the presidents (and many other politicians) we have on TV shows are so much better than the ones we have in real life.

I'll take Jeana's character or Matt Santos, Arnie Vinick, or Jeb Bartlett of West Wing. I like Martin Sheen's character but Martin is too far out for my taste.

I agree with the argument that she is just an actress, but let´s remember that the United States Government, like any other Government in the world, needs the best and most qualified and experienced people in all the various fields of economics, politics, diplomatic affairs, military affairs, etc.

Women like Madeleine Albright and Hillary R. Clinton are only two very good examples of the well-experienced and very qualified individuals the US needs.

I think we need some feminine element to the powers that be. The world is too ran by men, theres too much war, violence and destruction. Its unbalanced. What we need is more nurturing and compassion for fellow person, more understanding and less meanness. More kindness and tolerance. Id be ok with a man for peace or a woman for a new peace president anything than another war president.

Indeed, she has done a better job portraying the President than I expected she would. Let's remember, though, she's ACTING. If she's any good at it, than she's doing her job well. That's what actors are supposed to do, convince you that it's real. That doesn't mean she'd be capable of it in real life.
