I really think he should have pulled a Seinfeld and quit while the show was on top. About a season or two after Will Ferrell left the show just went downhill. It's so pathetically unfunny, that it's comedic value lies in how unfunny it is. Everytime I see the new Weekend Updates I just wanna punch Tina Fey in the face. I know a lot of the cast has talent but aren't being given the chance.

Unfortunately, this isn't even the worst or longest stint they've gone without being funny. There were some REALLY bad periods (Anthony Michael Hall years, the latter Billy Crystal Years, etc.) that were just atrocious.

The past 3 years have been pretty bad, though. It's rough to sit through one of those skits (and there are alot of them) where you can tell that it isn't working, and the cast realizes that they're only halfway through the skit. They look as though they wished someone would just shoot them. The only laughs SNL gets is if Horatio Sanz can't keep a straight face, which is NEVER. Pretty pathetic.

Just think, they actually test these skits in dress rehearsal before going live, which means there were other skits that were even worse...yikes.
