What I can tell you is that Nissan is good...
Altima is good, comes beautifully equipped is a good and speedy one, and it is cheaper than Maxima.
Maxima is fast, with much more equipment, inside-outside but is more expensive...

I would go for Maxima... but difference is 100 us if you see SE-R altima... It is up to taste... that is it...
Both are good damn cars...

I have driven both cars. The Maxima has more horse power which equal to more power and better pickup. The altima has less horse power and decent pickup speed. Between the two I prefer the Maxima. The Maxima drove better with better handling and brakes. Although the Altima cost less than a Maxima, the money is better spent on the Maxima. And if you decide one day to sell it, you will get a better car/re-sell value on the Maxima than the alitma by a greater amount.

I like the Altimas better. The maximas are starting to look weird. If I had more money, I would have bought an Altima instead of my Sentra. Altimas are nice, and maximas are over rated.

Altima is the lower level of the 2 I believe so if you want the better one Maxima is the choice.

We proudly own an Altima. I am very pleased with it because it has the engine that is used in the Maxima (V6) and because it is not the feature-laden Maxima, it has a better power to weight ratio, which makes it quicker.

I'd go for the Maxima. They look better. We test drove an Altima once and it just seemed like a cheap car. I know it's not a cheap car, but the door handles and things like that looked cheap. They were a dull, grey plastic. But the car run great. It had lots of power.

For the same price, go for the Maxima. Since it's basically the same as asking to choose between the Corolla and the Camry, or the Civic and the Accord, I'd say pick the one that you think would suit YOUR needs. Do you want more room? Do you want the more powerful engine, etc.

I like big cars so I would go with the altima. They can take a hit better than a altima. Plus they are much sexier. Makes you look sexy

Maxima definitely its a great car i have a Maxima and i don't have any problems with it , the car is 12 years old..........
