I don't think it's easy to get pregnant at 45 but I do think it's possible. Some of the early pregnancy sypmtoms could mimic perimenapause. The only way to know for sure is to take a pregancy test. I wouldn't trust a home test, I would go to your dr.

I think it depends on the woman. Most have a hard time conceiving after 30/36 just because the eggs start to disenigrate. The quality of the egg goes down with age.

You could get pregnant...but it also opens the door for genetic problems.

You know the same as other women. When period misses or pg test shows. However, given the age the missed period may not be an indicator - could be the onset of menopause or premenapause. If you've been trying for over six months go see a reproductive endocronologist.

Well drisco, it all depends. At 45 some women are going through the beginnings of the change and sometimes feel as though they may be pregnant. It is possible to get pregnant at 45 if indeed it is possible. You need to go see your gyn doc and get a few tests. Then if you need to talk further, please feel free to e-mail me through here. I am good at this stuff. My last one was born when I was 37. Seriously if you are pregnant at 45 you need extra care from day one. Good luck dear, Nana

I've noticed it's easier for a woman to get pregnant if she's had other kids recently. If you haven't had one in years, it's hard to conceive after 40 -42 or so.
