I sense a little bit of bitterness here, and in all of your questions. Is it possible that the (ha ha) Great White Male is, in reality, a pathetic little boy? Why else would you ask questions like this, and steeped in so much stereotype? Sounds like everyone else around you is on that train, and you are getting left very far behind.

Really? African Americans aren't successful? And tell me, please, what is your definition of successful? An uneducated, ignorant white male American? Because you must be forgetting about people like Condeleeza Rice, Michael Jordan (that so many of you white, wannabe basketball players try so hard to emulate), Oprah, Denzel Washington, and thousands if not millions of others; or past successful African Americans like Fredrick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Malcolm X, MLK Jr. There are more SUCCESSFUL African Americans in American today than there are racists like you!

Well, stop watching so much TV and read a book..then you may realise way more success stories than you can handle...you may actually feel threatened. Granted, there are still some struggles..but to say NO successes is ignorance...

just to add to what others have said (and i agree with them) African-Americans have started out with less wealth, (or at least most of them) becasue after their ancestors were freed from slavery, they really didn't have a lot of money. so, while your great-great great grandfather had some money to pass down to your great-great grandfather, which he could build on and make more from, most African-Americans have had to start from little or no money as of a couple centuries ago.
