Most appliance should last between 5 and 10 years, if properly cared for. Some can last longer is really good condition or older well built machines. A dishwasher shopuld be in the typical 5-10 range, but could go longer depending on use. ANy less suggest sub-par machines and not worht the investment beocuse you waste money on replacing and repair which could have been saved with a higer up front cost.

There is no set time on a lifespan of a dishwasher. Most average between 8-11 yrs. It all depends on how often you use it and the quality of the dishwasher to begin with. Mine is almost 10 yrs. old.

dishwashers should last many many more years that said here! I have one right now on its 49th year! ive seen many 20-30 yrs also. one dishwasher i recently saw was about 70! so i have no idea why they all say 4 or 8 years! simply insane! But its much more polite to call the dishwasher by their rightful name! Mine is name Joan....

It should last a very long time depending on how well you maintain it. Cleaning out the food disposal at the bottom and using a dishwasher cleaner. Mine is is still good shape but I could use some new little wheels on the bottom tray that rolls out.

I would think they should last at least 8 years. Any that I have had or my family has had lasted at least that long. The one I have now just went out and it was 15 years old.

mechanical ones, last 8-10 years
the married kind, about 7 years

All mine needed replacement at 4 years. They were not high end.
