How awesome that you want to use this talent for God!! First of all, you need to get plugged into a Bible teaching church. It would be fabulous if you all went to the same church, but I know that maybe they go to church with their own families. You need to continue to grow in your faith- I'm assuming that when you say that you are Christian, you mean that you have been born again. That means that you have had a very real conversation with God telling Him that you know that you are a sinner, and that you can't ever pay for your own sin. You believe that Jesus took care of that cost, and you are picking which side of the fence you are on. You need to totally turn from things that are not of God (like listening to music with bad lyrics, stealing, lying, snotting back to your parents, skipping church and church activities, etc.)
You might wonder what this has to do with having a band. People do not just notice your songs, they notice YOU. You are going to make mistakes, yes, but you will repent of them and show others that despite your occasional problems, you trust God and try to follow His Word. You will be setting a great example for all of the people that you will meet in a music ministry.
Continue to read your Bible every day. The Bible is what you are judged by. God tells us to write the Bible on our hearts. Pick some verses that stick out to you to memorize.
These things are very important to get a firm foundation for your entire life- not just in a band. Plus, having this relationship with God will open up lots of song possibilities if you want to write your own lyrics. Try to find a worship leader or youth leader who would be willing to let you and your friends have a practice area. You can get music to songs online or at a Christian bookstore if you are going to play covers of songs that already exist.
Being in a band with other people is going to bring about lots of issues, like 'who picks which songs to sing at an event and their order?' and 'when should we practice?' and 'who sings lead on this song?' and 'who says when the drums are too loud?' etc. Maybe set up specific jobs for each member.
You can see if there is a church with a youth center in your area where you could play. If not, maybe all of the area churches could have a games night or a lock-in where you could play.
I've already been praying for you!!

first of all you should probably create a portfolio of songs and music that you would like to perform then ask your friends of they would like to join your band. if you are planning on charging and making money for your performances you should make a contract explaining the duties and percentages of profit for each member of the band. then of course don't forget to have fun. Good Luck
