Why does everyone like gay people?

Uh, not everyone. As you can plainly see, people in all parts of the world, including our own (I myself am not one of them in the least), seem to still hold onto the narrow-minded view that if you love someone on a truly deep and serious level who is the same gender that you are, you are going to hell, and so is anyone who thinks like you. This is still apparent in America's own government still holds to that narrow minded perspective and still refuses to give us the right that the heterosexual community seems to have no idea how to handle: the right to marry.

Then, of course, you still have the childish habit America has of calling anyone or anything that theydisapprove of "gay".

So, not everyone loves gay people. Some people go so far as to strike out violently against them. Most of them only think this way because of a narrow-mindedness that the church has instilled, apparently quite well, over centuries.

There are some people, however, who do love gays. And they, unfortunately, still come under harsh degredation.

So, to answer your question, not everyone loves gays. Just look at our president.

Perhaps because they are honest and open about who they are.

I wouldn't say that everyone says they like gay people - just listen to a hate-mongering, bigoted 'christian' railing against gay marriage. You'll hear some of the most discriminatory venom ever heard since the Civil Rights Movement in the 60s. I wish they would remember to "judge not" and "WWJD?"

What planet are you living on? Gay people aren't even accepted in a large part of society, let alone loved. If your question is "Why does (some of) society accept gay people?", then the answer is simple- not all of us are homophobic, religious idiots with nothing better to do than quote the bible and pray to a fake God. Live and let live, dude.

Because they are Gay as in gay happy. Really I think that is a stupid remark because even though I don't believe in same sex partners, I know several gay people that I like and have for friends but there are a few that I cant stand , just as with straight people. Its personality that people like not there preferences, unless of course you are prejudiced

Because we are wonderful and every one knows it. Seriously though, it could be that we are a more accepting group of people because of all of the crap we have had to put up with, discrimination etc. Most people are more comfortable in groups of people where they are accepted for who they are. I don't really know tho, just a guess. I must say though, where I come from, the planet earth, there are alot of people who don't love us and would just have us go away all togeher.

I love my gay brother - i dislike my friend's gay sister - I'm not sure what exactly you are asking but a perso's sexulity does not determine whether or not I like someone so i guess i am not part of everybody

Many of them are gifted in other ways, extremely smart and have a magnetic personality. Too many people are too busy passing judgment negatively without justification to ever notice.

I dpon't mind them it depends upon whether they are nice people are not. I saw the answer on here that they are more tolerant, but that is NOT true. They can be just as prejudiced as anyone else and I have seen it firsthand.

They are not better, or worse, than anyone else.

I think you mean "why is it so acceptable or tolerable in our society to be gay now?" I dont think that everyone likes them they have just accepted them in our society.
