I assume you mean you can only use the symbols and digits once to make it equal two. In other words, use 1 2 3 4 ( + ) - and make it equal two.

That's easy!
(4 + 1²) - 3 = 2

Here are some other ways I can think of:
4 + (1² - 3) = 2
(4 - 3) + 1² = 2
(1² + 4) - 3 = 2
(-2 + 4) 1³ = 2
1 + (4 - 3)² = 2
1 + (3 - 4)² = 2 (since (-1)² = 1)
2 ( -3^1 + 4) = 2 (imagine the 1 is a superscript 1st power)
(2 + 4) 3^-1 = 2 (imagine the -1 is a superscript, so 3^-1 = 1/3)
+2³ (4^-1) = 2 (-1 superscript, so 4^-1 = 1/4)
2(+3) - 4^1 = 2 (imagine the 1 is a superscript again)
(3 + 1^4) - 2 = 2 (imagine the 4 is a superscript 4th power)
