All I remember is that it was quite a dark story for children. I read it around 1995/1996. It had something to do with a small girl and a circus, plus a clown that used to stop time or something. Please help - it's really annoying me!!

well it wasnt wrinkle in time, I read that a few years ago. no clowns. I wudda remembered cos they freak me out.
