I got you on this one brother, go to best buy they have a special machine (either electric or hand crank) that will sand it down a layer and then you polish it up. My GTA San Andreas game kept doing that and it was unplayable, now it works fine. I think it was called Dr Skip or Skip Dr. Something like that.
Dont listen to RL8...I have fixed 2 game discs and 3 cds, it would have cost over 160 dollars to replace them, I only spent 40 for the machine and that was the most expensive one they had. And it is not an "abrasive fluid" its just pure water, thats how I know he hasnt even tried.

a perfect abode product for fixing scratches on pstwo disc's is, funnily sufficient, toothpaste. i have had about 10 video games scratched and that i only wacked somewhat of toothpaste on the decrease back and fill in the scratch. labored each and every time. you need to get a paper towel and reckoning on how enormous the scratch is, gentle some toothpaste on it and rub it in the toothpaste to fill the scratch. Works a appeal, and its the in uncomplicated phrases component that I easily have got here upon to fix scratch Ps2 disc's, provided that scratch remover does no longer artwork on ps2 discs, yet makes it worse.

There are a couple of different items on the market that sand and buff the underside of the game disc using a semi-abrasive fluid and a polishing disc. They are mostly junk. It's cheaper and quicker in the long run to go out and buy another copy (used) of the game to replace your damaged one.

Could be a problem with the Playstation itself. If it's an original release odds are good that's the case. Call they're tech support number and they'll let you know what's up... providing the waranty hasn't been voided.

You can get them restored by certain game shops. You'll need to look around though. Not a lot of places do em.
Don't try a belt sander though, that doesn't work.
