If you have a high perscription for your glasses, would it be harder to prevent eyesight from worsening?

I don't think so. I have terrible eyesight. I can't even see the big
"E" on the eye chart! I am very nearsighted. I am in my mid 30's and have had the same prescription for several years now.
I think it's because I do as much reading as possible without my glasses and I don't wear contacts anymore. My sister, on the other hand, gets a new prescription every year and it's always worse. I have heard of some kind of eye exercises advertised on the radio that supposedly restore at least some sight. I'm sorry I can't be more specific.

That would depend on what caused the sight to worsen. Ask the doctor what makes that happen down to salt in food, sugar, head injuries, helments, and nutrition.
You might want to wear eye protection when cleaning, driving, or bright sun areas.
Until then try eye drops, just to clear redness, dry eyes, and irritation. These are cheap at the local drug store. Every two to four days. just like chapstick.

prevention is hardly the question. If your eyesight is going to worsen, it will worsen. This is what my optomitrist tells me. You can make your eyes tired, but you can't make them worse by , for example, trying a friend's glasses on, or not wearing yours.

No, if you dont need this high prescription and youre using it youll only get headaches, it is not good to force your eyesight. Also your eyesight problems are genetic, nothing you do will do it worse or better
