The yankees and the red sox hate each orher cuz way back in the 20's the red sox were wining alot of world series with babe ruth but then they sold babe ruth to the yankees and he was a really really really good player and the yeankees went on to win the world series again and again and 26 times and the red sox only have won one since and that was two years ago in '04 and they condsisder the fact that the red sox don't win THE BABE'S CURSE! GO Y A N K E E S!!!

Like everyone has said.
The sale of Babe Ruth to the Yankees pissed off a lot of Red Sox fans. Then, the whole curse of the Bambino arose because the Sox hadn't won a W.S. since 1918. Except that changed in 04.
Plus, they're two really big baseball teams.

becasue the red soxs were wining a lot of chamionships when they had babe ruth. then they traded him to the yankees which in my opinion was one of the stupidest things they could have done. Lets just say the red socks never one a championship again until a couple of years ago. While the yankees won many time since then. thats the curse of the babe. the red sock hold a lot of anomisity toward the yankees. that is the rivally in a nut shell

Because the Yankee's signed (or as some sore losers say) stole Babe Ruth from The Boston Red Sucks and because it "put a curse on the RS team" it took them 86 years to win another world series. Maybe if they paid their players right them might feel the need to take home another one. Not that I can say anything if A-Rod makes anymore mistakes I might be inclined to hit him with a bat. Go Yankee's!!!!

There has been heartbreak, joy, and hatred between these two teams for years. Some examples are selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees (many ppl think that this is for Harry Frazee's Broadway show, however, it was because Ruth was being a jerk), Bucky Dent's homerun, 2003, and 2004.
