Is it with soemone you love? I believe at 17 you can understand your consiquences and actions so as long as it is love and safety is taken then yes, But only if its love because that is something you can never take back and it should be something you can look back on and say I am glad he was the one I gave my gift to (sounds corny I know) but I dont believe in living in regret and losing your virginity should never be a regret..Good Luck and Be Safe

Sex isn't all about safety measures and health concerns - thats just one part of it. The other part is the emotional part and the idea you might regret it later. I'd recommend you consider waiting until your married - that way you will have no regrets.

The 'appropriate' age is different for everyone. No one should rush into it. You should feel comfortable with it. If the time doesn't feel right, it probably isn't.
Also, yes, Always use condoms, always.

I believe you should wait until you're married but most don't , so if you feel like you have to just make sure you've been with the guy for a while and you feel like you love him. Always use protection, it would't hurt if you use double protection like birth control and a condom.

There's no actual "appropriate" age --but marriage is the appropriate time.

Depends on maturity, feelings and comfortability. If you are not mature and you do not love the person then there is no way you can be comfortable being naked in front of that person.
