Do you think Star Trek org. and Next gen sat a good example of what is wrong or right? I am a big trek head and I have alway thought these 2 star trek shows should me how to be a better person... What do you think did they show this or am I crazy?

The shows didn't show you how to be a better person. They showed current events in a future setting to make the morals easier to swallow. If you want to be a better person, be one. If you want to be entertained as well as tackle issues that rage through the ages, then you watch star trek. But looking for the answer to it all in ST is silly. You won't find it. The writers didn't have it. The characters didn't always have it. It was just something human and alien to us all at the same time.

Fun fact: Nobody has ever gone to the toilet on any star trek show or movie. Showers and baths but no trips to the pot. lol

I think it more reflects the society at the time. It depends on what you think it right or wrong. Some things they do well like racism. It's clear they got that right but sex outside of marriage, that's another story.

I love TNG and both shows had good positive themes.
