I am planning a trip the 2nd week of January and with less than 6 months to go I'd like to view thier packages. I don't know if booking room, buying tickets and food separatley is a better deal than going with a magic your way package? This will be my first trip so any advice on this would be helpful! thanks

The packages were supposed to be released at the end of the month. But they have had several delays, so now it isn't supposed to come out until August, or some time around there.

As far as getting a package or doing everything seperately, you are better doing things together. That is, if the dining plan is as good next year as this year. You can't even compare to the savings with the dining plan with buying it on your own. From what I have heard, the packages next year are going to be even better than this year.

You may consider using a travel agent. They could really help you plan the trip and understand everything. Plus, they will keep informed of the new package and when it comes out and everything. It doesn't cost you anything to use one, it is just an option.

Well, I've never used the magic your way package.
I've always booked hotel and tickets at the same time, but no dining packages or plans or anything like that.
I guess it all depends on what you want from your vacation.
I know what can help you a lot because I ordered it.
Its a free disney world planning DVD and it tells you everything! All info on hotels so you can decide on where you wanna stay and it tells you about all the packages like magic your way and the hopper tickets and everything!
Its absolutely free and should arrive within a week.
Go to:

it really does help a ton!

I'd say probably August.

Now as far as advice, you'd want to book everything together and stay on site and get the dinning package. You don't want all the add-ons of the tickets unless you know 100% that you're going to use them because if not that will be a waste of your money. Also, do some reading before you go. Check out fan sites and read a travel book or two. It's best to have an idea of where you want to go before you enter the park.
