Does Livewire give your computer a virus? - No, but the junk you download with it might.

It does'nt in itself give your computer a virus. You may download a file that does have a virus imbedded in it. It'll download to a specific file. Before you move or install ANYTHING through livewire, I'd scan it with an up to date anti-virus program. Even a jpg photo file can have a virus. Exe's and other software, is from a totally unknown source and may have anything.

Depends really if you download just music or movies, but software you can get a nasty little virus. Make sure you have a good virus software. With any p2p software you run a risk of getting a virus but all in all limewire is a very stable program and has fewer virus's then the other programs such as bearshare and kazaa.

So far I've had no problems at all with limewire. But make sure to scan for virus every single file that you download before using them.

It could be possible that the file you are downloading has a virus.

Try using eMule, I think eMule is a 10 times better than limewire.

girl limewire is the best thing. it is best known for being the fastest and it definetely does not give viruses. i used to have kazaa, actually my computer technican told me about it and that sucked. i had a lot of viruses and it took me over an half an hour to download one song it was very slow. first time i had limewire my song finished in about 10 mins. and no viruses up to now. a friend adviced me to use limewire. its the best thing girl. only thing make sure to scan for virus every single file that you download before. thare may be a possiblity that the file you are downloading has a virus. that's only from others. but trust me all programs have that problem. BUT LIMEWIRE IS REALLY FAST!!!!!!!!1
