Has anyone had a good experience in using milk of magnesia ( a medicine to releive constipation) to start labor? My doctor recomended taking two teaspoons of it to try and get labor starting. Has anyone done this and has it worked out for you? I'd like to know before i put myself through too much misery...

I have heard of mineral oil or castor oil, but not that. My first pregnancy I had the gel insert. It took about 10 hours to take affect. I also have heard intercourse also works for some.

I have never heard of this one. But hey, if your doctor suggested it then it might work. I've heard of eating spicy food, having sex, and I've also heard that storms can even make you go into labor.

all it will do is give you diarhea.
i can't believe your doctor would tell you to do that. that is dangerous.
i would leave well enough alone. if you don't go into labor on your own then your doctor will induce.
think about it, do you want to laying on the delivery table with diarhea?
