This is a good question and I recommend that you see the movie "Supersize Me", written, directed, and staring Morgan Spurlock. The facts are very very disturbing. While smoking USED to be the number one cause of preventable death in the US, it is now obesity! This movie goes over and beyond in explaining the paradox behind the McDonald's company. I repeat watch "SUPERSIZE ME"!
By the way that guy is totally WRONG...Morgan goes to actual doctors and health clinics...its not just a movie its a documentary you idiot!!!!!!

i would go for cigarette addiction because the more you smoke the more clogged up your lungs can get and then you cant breath well and that can cause you to die. but if you have a McDonald's addiction its not as bad because if you eat from McDonald's you can reduce you weight by exercising.

cigerretts by far, mcdonalds is bad but is not a physical addiction and causes a much more significant risk of cancer and heart disease and other health problems than mcdonalds
Cant say i know anyone with an actual addiction to mcd's Just people that eat too much cause they are slobs.
Cigerettes will kill everyone
MCD's wont kill everyone but generally people that have genetic health problems that predipose them to heart disease and obesity
By the way the supersize movie is full of lies and exaggeration so i wouldnt put too much worth into that movie, it is extremely biased as well and has no scientific backing to it.

Both are terrible. Obesity from too much Mc Donalds is almost as life threatening as smoking. As a nurse I see terrible effects from both. I don't think I need to elaborate.
