Yes they truly are champions especially in defeat. Very very sad to see it end the way it did. But we have so much to look forward to and on with the Asian Cup and qualifiers for 2010.
Well who will I support now. Dilemma!!! I have long followed the Italian football side but my heart and soul were with the Aussies and always will be. I lost respect for some of the Italian players last night. They defended brilliantly and in the end that is what really won the game, but some true personalities came out this morning as they were pushed by the Aussies and it wasn't nice. So now I am rethinking the whole issue. Not because we were beaten, to me we weren't, but because I thought they would be above the fake foul syndrome invading the game. I am impressed with Germany so It will be the German or Italian teams in the end that I follow now.
Addition:
A few hours later my decision is made. Germany. Italian fans have changed my mind with cocky, nasty attitudes and comments. Ungracious, Sore winners are not something I like to be involved with.

I have been rooting for England and Argentina all da way through.
and i ahte Brazil. i'm supporting England cuz dey got Rooney, Beckham, Terry, and Robinson. And of couse i dont think anyone cany deny how good of a team Argentina is

i have no idea. the socceroos said goodbye to world cup in a very very sad way. i'm so sad !
its a big no-no for italy, i hate em so much! and also for ukraine!
ah idk whether i wanna watch world cup again, because netherlands went home already, so does aussie & swiss

Italy as they beat us. If Italy win the cup, I will fell happy as I know that we were beten by the best. If they don't, well, we tried and got to the RO16.
