I was recently looking through the yahoo pictures, and was very sadly disappointed when I saw tons of pix with "happy gay couples" smiling and having a so called "blast" at the gay pride parade. It sickened me to no end looking at them, but what really made me mad was, towards the end of the pictures they showed all these anti gay protestors. They didn't just show pictures of them standing there protesting, but they showed pictures of them being arrested and dragged away, and supposebly attacking photgraphers. See, the problem is, yahoo is portraying all anti gay people to be horrible, mean, attacking, heathens, meanwhile these gays, are portrayed as sweet, loving, wanting peace people.. Do you guys see a pattern here? It is terribly sad, and we wonder why are kids are all growing up warped......I am so very disappointed at yahoo for posting these decieving pix, and Georgia for even letting this disgusting parade take place........God Have Mercy On Us All!!!!

"they" make "you" seem like you're the bad guys because you first said that you are "anti-" a group of human beings. when you are against a whole group of people that you don't even know about, you are going to make people not like you. my first suggestion, is never say that you are "anti" anything. you could say that you are "against homosexuality" but don't say you are "against gays" because it's being against an idea versus being against people.

in any group of people you are going to have some that are down to earth or good and some that are insane. yes there are insane homosexuals... yes there are insane homophobes. there are good gay people and there are good people that are against homosexuality. i just don't think that we need to group whole parties together and make assumptions on what kinds of people they are.

you are right though, in that the media does skew everything a certain way. though i am all for homosexuality, have had "blasts" at gay pride parades and am sickened by anti-gay protestors, yahoo really should have probably downplayed the whole parade issue and definately left out the protestor shots.

you have to realize all groups of people deserve a place to live and love and have fun and freedom. whites, blacks, gays, whoever. even homophobic georgians.

i live in lincoln, nebraska and a couple years ago there was a state wide kkk convention that was held in the city. of course everyone disagreed with this! but no one tried to stop it, because they were not breaking any laws, they weren't going to break any laws and they have every right to believe how they want to believe, no matter how right or wrong it may be. the state and city government set up a city wide function away from where the kkk convention was going to be so that the people would be drawn away from that area to aviod protesting and possible riots.

the point is, us nebraskans know that people are people and they can do what they want. all humans have their own rights. live and let live. when no one is getting hurt, i don't understand why anyone cares?

People like you sicken me to no end. Mind your own business and live your own life.

You think it's a sin... Let him who is without sin cast the first stone.

Why is homosexuality wrong? There are a couple passages in the Old Testament that imply it isn't okay, but what about the other passages? The infamous Leviticus verse about a man lying with a man is part of the Mosaic Code. Do you follow the rest of that code also? If so, then you should be isolated during your period, you can't put marks on your body, you can't wear clothes of mixed fibers, if you are handicapped you can't approach an alter to honor god, and several others. YOU CAN'T PICK AND CHOOSE! Lev 18:22 is the only one people give thought to. The Bible was written long ago in a different society. We shouldn't be expected to conform to that society. Lucky for you because females certainly didn't have the equal rights they do now.

If you have that braindead mindset lacking thought "God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve", where is your proof that God wasn't allowing for the possibility for homosexuality?

My guess is that the anti-gay protestors got out of hand. People on the far right are prone to violence in the name of god, which is contradictory.

I know why kids are growing up warped, because parents and peers instill these obessesions about who others fall in love with and have sex with. Hate is not a family value.

Homosexuality isn't a disorder, but homophobia and obsessing about who others love is. Homosexuality can't be "cured" (living in denial doesn't count). There are physiological differences between gays and straights, particularly in brain connections and abilities. Having a "gay brain" tends to give the advantages of both a straight male brain and a straight female brain.

Maybe because you are the bad guys. The gay pride parades are harmless fun. Why do you want to live in a state which "wouldn't allow a parade like that to take place?" Do you think government restrictions on free assembly are what freedom is all about?

You are part of a dying breed, you will not be able to sustain your hatred of gay people more than one or two more generations, so I guess feel free to speak out while there are still people willing to listen.

You make yourself a bad guy. You can dislike something and not be associated with it. When you put you views out there it is a dislike for a kind of people and it is mean and makes you look bad.

You don't have to like everyone in the world but you don't have to be mean about it either. You don't want to see a gay parade avoid where it will be. If you know one place is a gay hang out don't go there. Unfortunately trying not to hang out somewhere because they might be there is going to be hard.

Just have some tolerance and keep your opinions to yourself. If someone ask it just say " I really don't like to talk about that subject." That way you still look intelligent.

You condemn Yahoo for conveying the impression that homophobes are horrible, mean, attacking, etc, and then in the same paragraph, you talk about how the pictures of the parade sickened you to no end, and how you're disappointed with GA "for even letting this disgusting parade take place."

I'd say that you make yourself into a bad enough guy with no help at all.

Ah well most anti-gay people are horrible, mean, attacking, heathens. I would love to meet one that is not. Even if you do not like gay people, you don't have to go out of your way to be like OH MY GOD THATS WRONG! Why did you even look at the pictures then if you are against gays? Whatever you speak of god, and what god of yours wants people to preach hate and judge other people. Yes the bible may say that it is wrong, but the bible also tells us to love thy neighbor. And what happened to Only god can judge me. Whats up with all these religious people claiming to be oh so good, yet spreading hate, and judging people. Please just because your close minded and predjudice, does not mean that yahoo has to be as well. This is the world we live in, if you don't like it too bad.

Well, all i can say to that, is that being gay is a mental disorder. God made men and women to "fit together as one" There's nothing normal about a gay person. So that is why you find them to be gross and sickening. Society has to portray anti-gay people as bad because they just dont' want the hassles of arguing with a man wearing a pink frilly shirt and talking like a woman.

I have to agree with you on many points. I find this whole concept of these Gay Parades and the Gay Day at the theme parks repulsive. There are many raunchy and disgusting people in the gay community. There are such things as nice gay couples, good people. There are such thing as abominators and destroyers of all that is good on the gay side. But what does gay matter? I've said it time and time again, we should dislike people for who they are nd not for who they are attracted to. By contrast, there are many extremely repulsive people on the straight side as well. Go to Yahoo! search now and type in all of the disgusting things you can think of. There are girls, guys, gays, and straights, all eating *** and doing all sorts of disgusting things that shouldn't be exposed on the internet for the world to see. Our bodies are sacred (even if you are not religious, you must know somewhere in your mind that there are things that should not be exposed publicly for the world to see! Our bodies should be respected!), and when people do these things, they take away what little dignity they have in themselves. A detriment to society as a whole. And all because "it feels good". In short, what does "gay" matter. There are plenty of disgusting things on both sides. Dislike people for who they are, and not for what we perceive them to be by stereotype.

Ok....so I take it your against people who are born androgynous then? What about hermaphrodites? When they have sex, are they gay or straight!?? Do you 'disagree' with gay animals and insects too?? You're just an uneducated dunce. Your attitude is the result of being brainwashed by your masters. You're the freak, you just don't realise it. Not to worry though, all the decent, caring people can see you for what you really are. A blackened, sick, hateful soul is all you have inside you, eating you away. Let's hope it kills you off soon...

What business is it of yours what gays do? If you don't like them, why can't you just ignore them? Homophobia IS horrible, mean and attacking, as well as intolerant, anti-democratic, old-fashioned, narrow-minded and plainly disgusting. They do nothing to you. And if you feel offended by them, that's your problem. They don't set moral values for you. You don't set moral values for them. At least, they show something your message does not show: LOVE. Does that word ring a bell?

In case you're wondering, I'm not gay. I don't need to be black to hate racism. I don't need to be gay to hate homophobia. So, I'm straight, but I know that my straight relations are in no way affected or diminished by the fact that there are gays and lesbians out there having love (and sexual) relations with people their own sex. I won't love or be loved less for that reason.

Please, get a life.
