Does Lemon Juice Remove Freckles?

I've heard lemon juice will remove freckles. Is this true?

No Jan Brady lemons will not remove freckles. They do fade with time though. To avoid them wear a hat with a brim, and sunblock

i tried it and had no luck. i've tried alot of things though and they dont get rid of my freckles. The only thing that fades my freckles is winter.
