I'm an aircraft flight instructor (Airplane Single and Multi Engine Land w/ Airline Transport Rating and Instrument Airplane Instructor tickets) with 6000 hours of flight time and have flown hundreds of types of aircraft. Microsoft Flight Simulate is absolutely amazing and very accurate both in depicting the cockpits and equipment and flight characteristics. I've used it for actual flight instruction (ground training) working with pilots on advanced ratings (instrument ratings). I'd recommend it.
