I need to buy a new cable modem. The only requirement from the cable company is that it be DOCSIS compliant. I'll be hooking it up to a wireless router (probably linksys). Any suggestions as to a good brand/model to look into?

i would suggest you are your ISP what modems they use and get one of those, it makes tech support easier so they cannot fob you off with incompatiable modem issues
